Your details, and what we do with them

Who we are

G3DK Printing is Timothy Moore, trading as G3DK Printing (ABN 30 675 602 497), a one-person 3D printing service in Sydney, NSW. Questions about your details go to tim@g3dkprinting.au.

What we collect

• When you ask for a quote: your name, email address, the model link or file you send, and anything you tell us about the print.
• While we work on your order: the messages you send us (through your order page or by email), photos of your finished print, the quote and your decision on it. When you accept a quote we record the time and your internet (IP) address, as a record that you agreed.
• For delivery: the name, phone number (optional) and address you give us, or that you're picking it up.
• For payment: your invoice and whether it's paid. Card payments happen on Square's secure page; we never see or store your card number. If you pay by PayID, we see your payment in our bank account like any transfer.
• When you sign in: sign-in links are emailed to you. We keep a cookie on your device so you stay signed in, and a record of your sessions (when and from which browser). We store only a scrambled (hashed) copy of each link and session, never the link itself.
• On our public pages: Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) counts visits and which pages are used, with cookies. It isn't used on the order pages you see after signing in.

Why

To quote your print, make it, talk to you about it, invoice you, and deliver it; to keep the records a business has to keep for tax; and, from the analytics, to see which pages help people. We send you emails about your order only, never marketing, and we don't sell or rent your details to anyone.

Who helps us

A few services handle your details for us, only to do their part:

• Netlify hosts this website, your order pages, and our order database and files.
• Postmark (ActiveCampaign, United States) sends our emails and passes your email replies back into your order.
• Proton Mail (Switzerland) hosts our own mailbox, so emails you send straight to us are stored there.
• Square creates your invoice and takes card payments. It receives your name, email and the invoice details.
• Australia Post gets your postcode to price postage, and your name and address on the parcel label.
• Google provides the website analytics.

Some of these services store data outside Australia, including in the United States and Switzerland.

How long we keep it

• Model files, photos and files attached to messages: deleted automatically 12 months after your order is finished or cancelled.
• Order records (who ordered what, quotes, invoices, payments, delivery details and messages): kept for at least 5 years, because tax law requires business records to be kept that long.
• Sign-in links stop working after 3 hours (or once used). Sessions end after 30 days without use.

Seeing, fixing or deleting your details

Most of it is on your order page already. To get a copy, correct something, or have your details deleted, email tim@g3dkprinting.au. We'll delete everything we don't have to keep for tax, and tell you what we've kept and why.

If something goes wrong

If we ever find your details have been exposed, we'll tell you what happened and what we're doing about it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, tell us first and we'll try to put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If we change how we handle your details, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
